Pitched, Tiled & Slate Roofing

Complete pitched roof replacements and new builds in clay, concrete and natural slate — the roofs we are best known for.

A freshly completed pitched roof in new red clay interlocking tiles against a clear blue sky

Overview

A pitched roof is the single biggest weatherproofing investment most homeowners ever make, and it is the work that built our name across Havering. Whether you need a tired roof stripped and renewed or a brand-new roof on an extension, every covering is laid to BS 5534 with a fully breathable membrane, new treated battens and stainless fixings.

We work in clay and concrete interlocking tiles, plain tiles, and natural Welsh and Spanish slate, matching the character of period and modern properties alike. Every re-roof includes new underlay, ridge and verge systems, and an upgrade to dry-fix ridges and verges as standard — no more mortar that cracks and lets water in.

Laid to BS 5534

Every tile and slate fixed to the current wind-uplift standard — built for Essex weather.

Dry-Fix as Standard

Good To Know

Pitched, Tiled & Slate Roofing — your questions

How long does a full re-roof take?
A typical three-bedroom semi takes 5–8 working days depending on the weather, roof size and any structural repairs found once the covering is off.
Will my house be exposed to the weather?
No. We strip in sections and never leave a roof open overnight. The breathable membrane goes on as we go, so your home stays watertight throughout.
Can you match my existing tiles?
In most cases, yes. We carry a wide range of clay, concrete and slate and can source reclaimed tiles for conservation areas and listed buildings.
